we used the brilliant wordmark.it site to see text in all the fonts on our pc - it was brilliant, but now it only seems to display a very limited range..... so no use.

I use Nexus font manager. It was free to download onto my pc.
You can put the fonts into categories, and then show the text you want to print for just a category. Saves a lot of time if you have an idea how you want it to look.
