Thank you Justin for your reply.
I am using signworld mugs and cityinkexpress paper. Also ink from cityinkexpress.
I have also played with different temperature and time.

Times and temps won't help, it's finding this ink from somewhere. if the ink isn't visible after printing it sounds like somethings happening during the print process.
I would advise you try a better paper, Trupix for example. Also, I'd be looking at changing those mugs personally. that doesn't help much much for now.
What printer/inkset are you using? Is the additional ink definately not showing on the print? Are you allowing it to dry?

I have had this before, sometimes you just cannot see it on the print. It went after a while, I believe, for me anyway, it was ink that had dropped onto the rollers, and as I said even though I looked at the print couldn't see it.
Are you sure you have the mug clamped up tight to stop any ink leaking along??

Try a head clean, it may be a fine mist that you cannot see on the paper.

We used 144 Signzworld mugs recently, we had one with a chipped handle, all printed up really well, nice finish to them, no spotting, and used the smaller handle ones.
