Hi all,

I am new to this group and new to the mug printing world, anyway I own a mitsubishi cp70dw can I use that dye-sub printer for the heat transfers or do I need to swap over and get a Epson printer and put the dye-sub ink init?

So-called 'sublimation' when applied to photography is is a totally different process to the sublimation process applied to polyester containing, or coated, items as discussed in this forum.

You will need a specific printer that will handle sublimation inks (most popular are Ricoh and Epson), special paper, a heat press, or presses, and an ICC profile to match the inks you are using.

Thanks mate for that, I had a feeling that would be the case but thought I would ask anyway seeing as I have one sitting at home, I am looking at the Epson WF-2630 but being in Australia we have a lack of sellers who sell the ink so I need to look at buying in from overseas or the stuff I can get is the no name brand ink and I do not know how good it really is.
