Re: Ricoh SG3110dn and Photoshop

Hi all, I like to control my own colors and ink coverage so I use the OEM driver (not the PowerDriver) and most manuals tell me to turn color-profile off, should I use/embed a color profile when printing from Photoshop?

I understand profiles etc but I'm having trouble figuring out what/when a color profile is being used.

If I have color profile off should I simply design in s/RGB and send that to the printer with an embedded RGB profile or shall I let the printer handle color (even though it's OFF in the driver settings).

If you could help me understand workflow that would really be appreciated. Thanks.

Basically you need to turn OFF the color profile in the Ricoh printer driver. In the Photoshop Print dialogue you need to let Photoshop manage colors and load the correct ICC profile for the ink and paper you are using. You van also experiment with checking or un-checking the box for Black Point Compensation. I usually have it turned ON.
