Photo Transfer Medium - print to canvas

Hello all,

I didn't see this on here yet, but if it's there....then sorry for the repeat.

I decided to try a hand made vintage project that is old school. It's a print to canvas transfer, but requires only a laser printer, basic printing paper, and some photo transfer medium. I did the project before and it turned out ok, but I did it with glue. I decided to invest in the photo transfer medium, assuming that it would be better since that's what it's actually made for, but I'm still having a problem getting the excess paper off without hurting the photo print.

Am I using the wrong medium? Are there easier ways to do this? Is there anything that I can use to take off the paper without hurting the print?
