weird ghosting / speckling on the mug - only certain prints?

Hi - I've been having some weird things going on with the printing / pressing process. I've printed thousands of mugs on these presses - all different designs yet one or two ALWAYS cause this odd speckled / ghosting effect.

I have tried different presses, different paper and different mug batches. It happens on them all. It's like there is dust on the printer - but the print is perfectly clean when it goes on the mug. I am taking the print off the mug carefully too. It's driving me mad!!!

So is it happening all the time? If so send me your design and I will print it off on my epson 1500w and post it back.

Update: I *believe* this was caused when I was wrapping the label around the mug. I touched the design and pulled it tight, which caused a slight finger print and smudges!!

User error. Fail. !!
