Preteat for the shirts and hoodies

Hi all newbie here I know you don't have to Preteat white is there any others you can get away with when dtg printing or can you buy pre treated to shirts or hoodies

You can buy pretreat for white, this helps get a brighter image... We don't use ours though.
you can manage without pretreat on pastel colours and light grey... Results are mixed depending on image being printed.
buying ready pre treated garments isn't really possible as every brand (brother, anajet etc etc) use a different type of pretreat, plus you only want to treat where you want to print otherwise it's wasted money.
