Adkins flatbed press pressure knob

Hi all

My knobs fallen off!

I was adjusting pressure the other night and the screw knob and fixing pin came loose. I have got a small bolt to fix it back on but I cant figure out how it goes back together.

I thought the pin would go through the knob and the threaded center bolt but when I do this I cannot turn the knob on it at all! Should the pin be pushing against the top of the press to lift up the platen or am I missing something ?
