Re: T shirt press

Post by Kev1 »

I have recently brought a 5 in 1 press. The press works fine, after doing about 6 t shirts one after the other I noticed a "shadow" of the previous t shirt on the t shirt I was pressing. I turned the press off and cleaned the top plate but the next t shirt was the same. What can I do to stop this? Thanks Kev

Cheap greaseproof/parchment paper from eBay/pound shops between dyesub paper and top plate, I change this after every pressing. If you do front & back print use a sheet on the bottom as well, part of the image will transfer to the plate during the second press. Adds a few pence to each garment but much cheaper than losing one, discovered this the hard way....

Thanks for that I knew it would be something simple. Where do you get your sublimation bits from? Mine are quite expensive. I don't sell them its to advertise my own business (electrical testing).

The usual suspects in the "Suppliers" section of this forum plus BMS. Worth getting premium membership on here as it will pay for itself with your first order.
