3D Large Heatpress ST3042 x 12 mugs

Hi Everyone, I have been using the large 3D heatpress ST3042 to print my mugs for a customer I have.
But I have been seeing different results, not all mugs are printed the same.

When I do a full colour print, like a leopard print mug, I am seeing fading at the top or the bottom or both.
I have bought new silicone straps as I thought the was the problem. But they are still coming out faded.

If I do a logo in the middle, plain white mug, all mugs are great.
The timing I am using is 15:00 with a temperature of 190c

Anyone know what is going wrong, Any advice would be great, thanks in advance.

I note you have asked a similar question directly to me on another thread, I will answer this one only to save confusion

Your time of 15 minutes and 190c is about right. I use 15 minutes but at a lower temperature of 180 degrees.

What paper and ink are you using?

Thanks for a quick reply, I am using the richo SG3110dn printer with sawgrass sublijet R ink / the paper I am using is Dino Dye sublimation paper.

Do you use the vacuum when printing your mugs x 12 - This is something I have never tried, Just curious if it helps or not...

Try a different paper (I use TRUE PIX) as that may have better release properties. I did try Xpress cheap paper once and it simply did not work with silicon in an oven.

What mugs are you using?

I am using the mugs from UKCutter / 11oz large handle sublimation mugs... I will try the different paper thanks.
Do you use the vacuum when you have your 12 mugs in ?

Are you getting the True Pix paper from NoveChrome or xpres ?

OK, never used their mugs so have no idea what they are like. I have used BMS and Listawood mugs with this method and both are good quality and consistent. There are probably others such as XPRES which are equally as good but I have not tried them. I am going to try Coralgraph ones soon as they are cheaper. Its worth pointing out that I print 10oz mugs.

Try switching paper first, if that works great, if you are still having the problems then switch your mugs to a different supplier.

To save you wasting 12 mugs each time, you only need to put one "good" mug in the oven and 11 rejects. As long as they are all the same temperature then the oven will perform the same as if there are 12 good ones.

Lastly, I do not use the vacuum anymore, but my paper covers the top and bottom and wraps right up to the handle. I do not use the tray either.

I get the paper from Listawood and Printerowners depending on what I am ordering. Never purchased from Novachrome as the guy was a c**k at a show I attended (slagging off his competitors). Xpres are OK, but no premium members discount
