How to go about getting a licence for football

Hi there,

I am just wondering if anyone knows how to go about getting a licence to print football club logos and names and numbers on the shirts, phone cases mugs ect, and how much it would cost?

I think there is a post/thread on here somewhere already about this subject. From what I remember you need to be selling multiple items in multiple shops and be having a huge turnover.

You would need a licence for each logo you were wanting to use, and for each product category you intended to put that logo on, and for each worldwide geographical region you were selling to, per year, AND to give a guarantee as to the level of sales you would have per year, and if you didn't reach that target you'd pay the shortfall in royalties to the license holder.
If you think your business is in a position to play that kind of game with the right routes to market already in place, then you need to get to Brand Licensing Europe at Olympia in a couple of days to find out more and start negotiating with some of the brands offering license deals, or to arrange meetings with the brands that aren't necessarily exhibiting themselves (bu will likely be there anyway)

Different clubs operate different ways. The bigger the club the more complex it tends to be but there are others even in the PL where you can pay a few thousand per season and you can cracking on with a handful of products. If you wanted a range of the top clubs then this is beyond most companies unless you specialise in the area and have good supply chains in place for retail.
