I use an epson printer with durabrite ink to print off labels ect, when it rains or gets wet the ink smudges,
Is this just durabrite ink that does this or do all inks do it?
Ink smudging when raining (not dyesub)
Re: Ink smudging when raining (not dyesub)
Most inkjets will do that. Put clear tape over the address.

durabrite shouldn't do it being pigment based where as dye based inks will.. it could be the label or if your using compatible carts it may not be pigment ink.

I thought durabrite shouldn't smudge, but they are durabrite carts, maybe it is the labels, didnt think the paper mattered.

if the paper has a coating which stops the ink from sticking I guess that could cause it (maybe if it was laser paper) I know the first thing I did when I got a pigment printer was run a print under the tap and that was no issues.

durabrite stays put on the paper, so it must be an issue with the paper or the inks if not original

Just tested on other paper and its fine, so it must be the integrated labels, thinking about it i changed supplier a few months ago and these are more shiny. Thanks all.
