Can Teflon pillows be used with the Adkins swing away heat press

I made a new lower platen for mine which added much needed space but you're still very limited I'm afraid, it's one of the few drawbacks with Adkins.

Hi Kermit, I know there is not a great deal of room between the platens on the Beta Maxi, but we use the Teflon pillows or foam in ours with no problems at all.
One example is we are putting chest logos on a high poly content polos and use a 20mm X 20mm platen. My son always uses the Teflon pillow to soften the edges of the platen as their is no Teflon cover for that size.
