Hi
We've been asked a few times if we can do personalised pencils and colouring pencils and wondered what the process was to do this? is it engraving? pad printing? any tips on the right machine for the job and what other items we can do. Have also come across the term hot foil blocking?
Thanks
Lianne

Re: Personalised Pencils
Pens are pad printed and the set up for this is very labour intensive apparently so only suitable for large print runs and only one colour unless you want to do the whole printing process twice for a second colour. We get asked as well but currently turn down work but a relationship with a pad printers is probably only suitable way to go. Olly

Re: Personalised Pencils
hi, thanks for the replies, I probably should have said that I want to put kids names on them so each set will be different so not big orders with company names etc on. A lot of people seem to do them, just wondering how?
Re: Personalised Pencils
The proper way to do it is hot foil blocking, not many places do these days though.

We can also do foil but this is only good for full colour. If you need text or simple logo then screen print
