I have a 3d system I bought that uses an epson printer. I cannot get the colors to match the output of my ricoh printers. I have doubled checked powerdriver and epson driver installation along with photoshop settings.
I have used ricohs for years for regular sublimation. I would prefer to use one with the 3d film but have tried with two new ricoh printers and after just a few short weeks they will start printing roller marks on the prints.
I asked both ricoh and sawgrass about it and they both recommended I NOT use the ricoh printers with the film as the film will not dry fast enough and the printer will mark the prints.
the company I bought this system from says they take the pizza rollers off the epson printers they sell before shipping.
But I cannot get the colors to match on that epson. its an epson wp4015dn.
Is anyone printing on film successfully with another printer and not having trouble with pizza marks etc?
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a many thousands of dollars system that is unusable until I can find a printer that will work with the film. I have asked sawgrass for a recommendation and they said they would have to get back to me (over a week ago).
I have tried their new virtuoso printer as I was told that is what sawgrass recommends for the 3d film and it didn't even last a week before starting to put the pizza marks on the prints. When I contacted sawgrass, they said they do NOT recommend the virtuoso with 3d film.
When I contacted whom I bought the virtuoso from the told me that SAWGRASS was telling them the opposite - that the new virtuoso was actually intended for 3d film printing.
I absolutely have to find a printer that can reliably print on film. Is anyone else printing on film (I am using IDT's system who are located in the UK).
Thank you.
Is anyone printing on film?
Re: Is anyone printing on film?
My advice: Take out the damn pizza roller (yes, they cause roller marks on both paper and film in my case) except for the outermost ones. And get printer calibrator to calibrate the color of your result regardless of the printer you're using.mel-;101484 wrote:I have a 3d system I bought that uses an epson printer. P.S. I use Epson printers.
