Oki C511DN - Toner Choices?

Anyone printing transfers with this colour laser? Interested to know if you use any toners other then OEM? I'm due a new set and I see plenty (as usual) claiming to be as good as the original but don't want to take any chances. Otherwise I'm looking for the best places to get OEM toners!

I see the printer for sale new at £158 inc vat shipped with 2k toners and cheapest toners so far is around £110 for same size. OEM toners I can see are 5k but you can also get 2k OEM for £223...more than the printer with the same!

NO NO NO

Only use OEM toner or you will have problems with rapid fade. OEM toner is 100% polyester compatibles aren't.

OK OK OK! Lol Understood. So this is the same for all non oem? OK for general office printing but for transfers must use OEM, got it.

Looking at prices for OEM then...anyone got any links to best prices? Like I say, the printer itself with 2k toners isn't too bad right now.

Just looking at this 511 for £158 after £40 cashback (free 3 year warranty) It states 2k toners, does this mean 500 per colour? Wondering if these are different to the 2k yield carts for around £200? I've had this 511 a fair while so I'd be surprised if its only 500 sheets.

Be useful to have a second unit for day to day work and also have spares available, drum etc

I'm at the same scenario too, got a oki c610 but toners running low, looking at alternatives or cheapest originals,

Yeah, I realised after I'd put that it didn't make much sense So the printer with inks is a great deal I guess, no brainer.

Just to confirm having spoken to the retailer, starter set that come with the Oki are the same as the value packs at £200+. The included toners are chipped to only work in that same printer so can't be removed and used elsewhere. No problem, I'll just plug the new printer in and use that!

you can re-chip the carts at like 2 quid a time

Can no-one recommend decent OEM toners? eBay sellers at £45 a set but feedback a bit patchy, £75 from many online sellers but would really like to get some feedback on one before ordering
