Cracking mugs

Morning,

I've lost 4 mugs this morning. One my own fault, two cracking when immersing straight after pressing into luke warm water and one due to wishy washy finish on the print. What am I doing wrong? Can I not rinse the mugs? will that effect the print? Not only have I spent an hour on this today I've lost 4 mugs so well down on what should have been a quick sale...

Any advice before I get another mug out of the box?

check you have not got the press too tight, you could also try leaving to cool on a cooling rack rather than dunking

If they are cracking when dunking then they are probably duff mugs.
