Interesting Result printing Sub printing to Tshirt
Re: Interesting Result printing Sub printing to Tshirt
I thought I'd try sub printing to a tshirt. Customer sent me a black and white photo albeit in RGB, I printed this on my Ricoh using the power driver, the result had a very pink cast to the print and although I tried converting to greyscale, LAB and CMYK the print on paper remained the same. I thought I'd take a chance and press on the shirt anyway and to my surprise the result was very good, no pink cast and pretty much as displayed on screen. I appreciate that the finished sublimation results are always very different from the paper print before pressing but was surpised (pleasantly) how different they were in this instance.

I think you can see what I mean regarding colour difference. Shirt was a Stedman Active Sports T from Absolute Apparel, Trupix paper, Ricoh printer using Power Driver with 'Performance Apparel' selected under substrate setting. I am assuming that changing the substrate setting alters the profile and ink settings automatically - seems to work ok anyway.A11kns;100829 wrote:Do you have any photos?

That's a bit of a difference! Glad that turned out ok.
