Re: GX2500 and GX3000 conversion

Post by Greybeard »

As I'm feeling a bit sore with my two WP-4015s both falling apart at the moment, I'm looking again at the two Ricoh GX's that I have, a GX2500 and a GX3000 .
Originally I put these away as not being capable of using dye sub inks, but searching again I discover that both refillable carts and supposedly dye sub inks are advertised.
Searching the forum turned up a 2012 post where this was being discussed in more general terms of putting any dye sub ink through these elderly models, but no follow up posts were made.
Did anyone have any success, or was there a brick wall ?

I'm only looking for a very low rate of production, and bring these printers back into productivety would be great. The build quality was good, but I have no need for inkjet printing, just onto fabric.
