hi and good morning all ,would anyone recommend the ricoh 3110 printer with normal pigment ink cartridges and truepix or textprint paper for printing t shirt ,think i read each cartridge is capable of around 2000 pages .i have heard they dont need as much maintainence as an epson

sorry just read 2 different posts ,1 said the ink was pigment based gel ink and the other did not mention anything about pigment ink only gel based ink ,so im thinking it may not be suitable after all
so if anyone could recommend another printer with refillable cartridges for economy with reliability thank you

Pigment ink is not suitable for use with trupix or texprint, those papers are used for sublimation , pigment inks are for inkjet transfer papers. Ricoh is an inkjet printer but is being used with gel based sublimation inks.

I use a basic HP printer with refillable carts (from ebay) and asda ink and t shirt transfer paper and the results are very vivid, I'm not at home at the mo to post a pic. They do have quite an heavy "feel" but I think that's down to the paper, I would think better paper would improve that.
