123Premium Flex tacking and stacking?

Hi all,
I would have asked this question direct to the TMT tech guy's but they are all at the P&P show and I have time to play tomorrow. And yes, I have searched the forums but cant find an answer related to this particular vinyl. I've been using 123 premium for a few months and think it's great but I want to use more than one colour either separated or stacked. For example, I want to tack the background and remove the carrier and then place the foreground and remove the carrier and press etc. Is it possible? Does anyone use this method? What are the tack times? Many thanks.

I don't know about the TMT stuff but you can with Victory's Evoflex - hot peel for quick production

123 flex says it takes 3 seconds to press so if you are tacking down to make layers i would only use 1 second tack time so it doesnt damage the vinyl when layering and if you do a two layer vinyl use 3 seconds for your final press, thats what I do

Thanks very much, I'll give that a go. I thought there might have been a way using the lower temperature used for poly or cotton that requires a press for 20 seconds with the 123 Premium. However, a straight press at this temp and time requires a clap cold peel. I'll have a play and see what happens!

The 123 flex i use is hot or cold peel at about 150 160 c do a test first before production so you do not waste the job

this is the premium 123 - so quite different to std 123, i have been working with some today, and TBH, i have no idea why they have called this premium 123, when its warm peel, and presses completely differently to the std 123 - so whatever you do don't follow the pressing instructions for 123, with 123 premium

It can be applied to Polyester & performance garments or delicate or easily scorched material at 120c for 20 seconds and then cold peeled so I might experiment with that as I've used it at this temp on light cotton tees and hoodies with great success but not tried tack and stack. Will definitely take your advice and try the 1 second tack at 160c though.

I've used the 123 flex in sample form only, which was a nice introduction to vinyl. However, I have used the 123 Premium for a good few months now (100% success rate and happy customers) and follow the instructions that those nice chaps at TMT sent me. It works every time for me on quite a few fabrics especially polyester mix or 100% cotton at the lower 120c temp. In fact, it's the only stuff my misses hasn't destroyed in the washer at 300c, then tumble dried for six days, and ironed inside out with molten metal...
