Ive been asked by a customer whether I could put a logo onto goretex jackets , whether its printed , cut vinyl or printed vinyl

Has anyone had any experience with something like this ? I get a feeling its coated which may be an issue , but they not cheap so didnt really want to buy on to experiment like I would normally do!!

Ash goretex is a membrane within the fabric not a coating. It would all depend on the item that the logo was going to be applied to. Some have a waterproof coating as well as goretex in it's 'proofing' qualities. Looking at them I would say transfers 'should' work. I'm ex RAF and those jackets look very similar to the goretex kit we had years ago. It has a cotton like feel to the outer layer. My only concern would be the possibility of the transfer process(heat press plate shape) showing up on the garment. As goretex is ususally a multi layer construction fabric this is a possibility.
