Been using sawgrass sublijet-R ink. But finding it expensive. I have a Ricoh sg3110dn printer. Can I use other sublimation ink?
Thankyou.

Why do you find it expensive? (playing devils advocate) Are you printing high volumes? How many sets of carts have you been through? Bearing in mind the first set never last anywhere near as long due to ink being held in the pipes, subsequent sets last far longer.

Trials have been done on refilling Ricohs with cheaper ink, all failed to the best of my knowledge. Personally I see little point, if volume is high enough there are more economical options.

Any ink you use in a Ricoh printer needs to be formulated for a Ricoh - using ink designed for Epson printers does not work (I tried it, and it comes out streaky and blotchy as it does not flow properly)
There are some non-Sawgrass inks that say they are for Ricoh printers (mainly coming out of China) which are available on Ebay and Alibaba, but it's a big risk to use unbranded/unknown ink in your printer. If you are wanting more economical printing (And ink) then I'd advise on getting an Epson printer, as there is a much larger availability of inks that will work.
