Hi all
Is there any preferences regarding hot or cold peel if you have to apply more than 1 colour of vinyl to a t shirt, by that I mean the colours actually overlaping or on top of one another for a shadow effect, background or border.
Going to be trying MDP garment vinyl to start with.
Many thanks
Bob

I do a fair bit of garment printing with cad cut material and I use Evoflex from Victory design - hot peel and you can overlap colours straight on top of another - http://www.victorydesign.co.uk/products ... uct_id/em9 - also claims to be ironable but from experience I wouldn't.
Best product I ever used was Premium material from Target Transfers but for some inexplicable reason they discontinued it, brought out Premium Plus instead and it wasn't a patch on the original.

I think the reason was that it was so difficult to weed. Like Pulling Mammoth teeth. I loved that product it could accept very fine detail and could be ironed over, washed. It stayed put and looked just as good as when first pressed. Just took me hours to weed the 1mm bits out. Thank heavens I did a massive batch with it before they stopped making it.AlanD;95362 wrote: Best product I ever used was Premium material from Target Transfers but for some inexplicable reason they discontinued it

Don't remember it being so difficult to weed, that said I try to keep very fine detail and small lettering to a minimum anyway. It certainly was the best I'd ever used for durability and hot peel is always a plus. Target ring every now and again and there is talk of it coming back but not seen anything yet.daviddeer;95382 wrote:I think the reason was that it was so difficult to weed. Re: Best Vinyl for Layering colours
Hello Windy
Ive been using the MDP Hot Flex and have to say its been pretty good, cant really compare it to anything as this is my first attempt at garment printing.
Using that and DigiFlex, the printable vinyl from MDP and that to has been good.
I also had a go with Jet Pro Soft Stretch and was pleasantly surprised, it was a pain to get the pressure right to contour cut the image on the Mimaki CG130, but managed to get it.
I'll try to post the pics of the first couple of t shirts I done, the white one is the jetpro ss with vinyl letters and the black one is digiflex with vinyl letters.
Cheers

123 flex is too thick to be layered well, the thinner the flex the better, their white is so thick
