I took photos of every stage as I pulled out each one, they have slightly different markings or sizes so I can look at the photos and match up the cables when the time comes to re-fit them. I'll send that PM now.

Have a look at his thread: http://www.t-shirtforums.com/diy-dtg/t170578.html

The 4th comment down says: "It's possible that the shorted head causes the damage to your first board as well as your second board. Commonly caused by leaking ink or cleaning solution when you force it thru"

The comment about leaking ink is interesting. I wonder if the black ink that had leaked on mine has shorted the head and subsequently the mainboard?

Justin, the good news is I've received the mainboard in the post today, many thanks for that, let me know what I owe you, PM me your PayPal address or something.

Now the bad news, it's made no difference and the printers doing exactly the same thing. I think I've pulled enough hair out over this thing now so I'm done with it. So, as the title of this post says I am selling it now for Spares or Repair and open to any offers!

That's a shame :-( Seems very strange. Don't worry about the postage, just would have been nice if it had worked.

Thanks Justin, your help here has been much appreciated.

Hi Paul, I haven't got any other parts to try and to be honest, I shouldn't have to go through replacing part by part to get it to work. I'm also sick of the site of it now, it's been nothing but a nightmare from the day it arrived. I thought from the advert (rightly or wrongly) that I was buying a printer about 7 months old but it turns out the printer is actually 5 years old. So I've paid £160 for a 5 year old printer that I could of bought brand new for £199, what a bargain!

Live and learn aye.

When speaking with Epson they pulled up the purchase date on their system from the serial number and the purchase date was Feb 2007.
