Many thanks Yolo (or is it Lucy?) for the sample vinyl that arrived yesterday - much appreciated.

I have just cut out a few designs that I use on it and first impressions are VERY, VERY GOOD! I always have trouble with a particular (but popular) design, but this vinyl is a lot thinner and with less of a sticky back - it seemed to weed a lot easier. I have just pressed the designs onto a test t-shirt (no problem in pressing also) and I'll stick it on a few wash tests later and post a full review with images once complete.

To be totally honest - the only thing to test now is the 'washability' of the gold and silver. This is due to those colours having the 'wash only' stamp. That being said, with the look and feel of this vinyl after it's gone onto a shirt I would stop there and order the rest of the colours which are fully washable up to 80 degrees (as stated on the instruction aid).

I have only ever used 1 vinyl (MDP Hot Flex etc) and have never had any problems with it ...................... it does seem that this vinyl is proving me wrong that my work can look even better with a different vinyl (the feel after it goes onto a shirt is more like screen print than vinyl).

Anyway, full review to follow shortly after the wash tests :-)

Thanks Adam.

You're right - it is Lucy! We're a relatively small team and I am usually the one who posts on forums.

We chose to stock this particular film because we found it very easy to use and thought it would be a good base product from which to build a range. I'm glad to hear that you have had a good experience so far - we appreciate you taking time out to test the products. I've been looking at other metallic films and it seems that it is common for them to be 'hand wash only' as they tend to lose their shine. We will continue our search to find a product which can be washed in the same way as standard colours! In the meantime, it will be interesting to see the results of your wash tests.... fingers crossed!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm wondering how the wash tests went AdamB? Like you, I have only used MDP hot flex but would love to find something that has the look of a screen print.
