no. You need to learn what is sublimation first. And take on board what martin is saying. All inks you keep finding are NOT sublimation inks and are NOT suitable to print the way you want to print. SubliJetR are specially formulated sublimation ink is what you need and you will find it in pretty much same price from all supplies.

lingering in there. I have found an sg2100n, and the inks are about £25 to replace which is much better, and the printer itself is about £60, it says it uses geljet. Is this a good choice??
You will get vibrant pictures on mugs, iPhones etc with the SG3110 as thousands of users will testify.

With the SG2100 you'll get great pictures as well - on paper but don't fool yourself into thinking that for £25 a set of cartridges you'll be getting sublimation ink. If you want to buy cheap (again) then go for it, but you won't do any sublimation printing with that set up.

Your choices are fairly straightforward - go for a cheap Epson, cheap Ricoh etc and cut your teeth the hard way by learning about inks, ICC profiles, testing and wasting blanks or the cheapest supported sublimation printer route is the one mentioned already - £250 +vat will get you up and running again with a new system. Less money will get you the proper inks and lots of flushing will get you printing properly, but you'll waste a good amount of sublimation ink doing that if you have a mixture if SubliJetR and 'compatible' cartridges in your printer.

You still haven't said if you have a mixture of SubliJetR and compatibles and if so the mix - this will have a bearing on how much expensive ink you are going to waste.

Whatever you say Martin, I do think EVERY person who doing sublimation should learn basics about icc profiling and colour management. This is simply coz Quite few people experiencing some colours problems and it would be good if they know what is responsible for getting them right ;)

Have a look at www.sawgrasseurope.com as well as YouTube videos. There are lots of free videos, especially from Conde (USA company) on YouTube. Do a google search for Ricoh sg3110
sublimation printer and you find even more info.
