Maybe you haven't been in business long - but you'll find this happens quite often. Existing customer says "I've got a tight budget, can you do it for X amount" you work your costs out and if there's a profit, and it's a straight forward order, you do the job. If there isn't a profit you make a call to either walk away, or if they are a very, very good customer, do it with a smile on your face to keep them sweet.
