I haven't done the maths, - but I know I was well into my second batch of 1000 mugs before i started charging ink carts, - and upto 2000 mugs before changing the last of them, - so lets assume this means they all ran out at 1500 mugs, - which works out at about 13p per mug. we mostly do full wrap, or photo heavy prints, - so I think the link is probably pretty good.
If I get a really big job, - I will take my carts down to the post office, and weigh them before and after.
Ink density ? - probably very slightly less than 1, - but will give a good idea to the nearest gram

I'm confused is this a good, cost effective solution for a newbie to sub dye printing to get started with?? It seemed to be a cost effective solution but 'gstk' seems to know a secret???

Its a great printer. I've had Ciss systems and the Ricoh in my opinion beats them all. Just watch your costs if printing high density. Colours especially blacks.

I'm not doing this to be awkward or contraversial - I quoted a job and won it. I worked out the profit based on my usual estimations of £330. In fact the ink cost £170 more than I worked out. so my profit was subtantially reduced. Had I have quoted 40p less per item I would have done it for nothing. I am only trying to save people grief
