i was reading through JSR post i think....liked the brother MFC-5890CN A3 printer...all in one printer(scanner ect) and you can use ciss refillable cartridges with it...lot easier to get into and fill than the epsons...

and this printer seems to have a better track record than the epsons for some reason !

thats that then..FINALLY..no more looking - this is it ....buying it this week coming so i cant change my bloody mind...again !

luv this forum but sometimes...lol...just when you think you are ready to buy something then....you find more info on something else

great forum with invaluable info
johnny...
Right then, we are looking at the brother printer that you have mentioned to print t-shirts. How are you getting on? Much the same, too much info, too much choice and hairpulling is occurring on a regular basis!!! Are you printing with pigment inks?
We have looked at laser, inkjet, chromoblast....... All too much but a decision has to be made..... Await your comments. Thanks

Courage, bigj, courage!

Seriously, though, you've probably made the right choice. I wouldn't use anything other than Brother right now but unless you're ready to handle your own support matters, you should stick with Epson or Ricoh.

Dont know whether to buy these -
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Set-Refillabl ... 336fa4158b

or these -
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-LARGE-EMPTY ... 337068584d

will be setting it up in next week or so just for my ordinary printing ( no sub ), and see how it performs....
If i like it, i might, just might, get another for sub printing and sell my epson b1100 to my m8....or keep it as a back up just in case...you never know !

THE WARRANTY - for £22 for 3yrs......anything buggers up, accidental, mishaps, blockage, you drop it...anything...take it back to store, with warranty paper, and they will replace it for a new one there and then at store - ...unlimited amount of times you can do this in 3 yrs !!!!.....not that your gonna rip the hole outta it..no reason to !

Is the warranty invalidated if you don't use genuine ink?

i just couldnt refuse....and at the price well.....sold lol
i was gonna buy it instead of the epson b1100 anyway....
now i got i choice and some back up - either way !..SWEET ....
and anyway....its easy enough to slip in the set i have here with it BEFORE i had it in to shop if needed.
i wont be using the ink that came with it anyways
