Had the same exact problem a couple of days ago. Solved by:
- accessing the printer from its left side (inks side) - you must remove two screws at the bottom of the left panel
- powering the printer on
- detaching the power cord while the print head was moving away from the inks side (thus having free access to its rear zone)
- bringing the black lever in front of the white plastic tab (the black lever had slipped behind it).
The attached image shows the correct position of the black lever.
