its definitely 128gsm, feels decent enough.

I'm using same paper, but different inks but get great results!

i'm getting good results on everything but that block black, made sure it is black before printing too.

Could it be that the print heads not putting enough black onto the paper.

I've also done a few mouse mats and the black is fine on them!!


The mugs are from signzworld on Ebay ( just for reference )

Your mouse mats are also going to absorb more ink due to the nature of the substrate. May well be your mug coating.

Sdj check out the last 3 letters of Scotty's user name and do a google search. I have had no problems with their mugs.
I was lucky enough to find this forum first. My advice would be to pull up a chair, a large coffee and read as much a poss before you go any further. The guys on here are a fountain of knowledge. Best of luck.

mugs from he signzworlds are the worst mugs i had a chance to work with. by changing mugs you should get better colour already.
reference paper, when seller advertise is nice and thick paper that does say nothing! paper don't need to be thick. but it need to be descent quality. for the cheapest but quality paper i would go for xpres economy. for more pricey option - texprint.

There are three main types of sublimation coating and all manner of styles of mugs. If you want the 'best' quality mugs, you might want to try RN coated or Rhino coated Durham styled mugs.

These will be very straight and professionally coated. Or shop around forever to find a good combination of price and quality, each decent supplier will sell a premium mug. Buying these will save you a lot of headaches and maybe once you're familiar with all the quirks of sublimation printing you can try cheaper mugs.

Never heard of your paper even though it claims to be professional, but most people will use TruPix sublimation paper, you can't go wrong with it.

The paper and other blanks were all from coralgraph. Ink came with printer and doesn't saw a whole lot of info on them
