Maybe an issue with the pump, which I have no idea about!

I am currently washing out all the carts, will then fill with warm water, flush the system or not depending on the problem, any blockage / pump failure / leaks should be noticeable by the lack of water draw. If the main board has failed, I should get consistent draw.....I think!
Partial blockage can be dissolved with warm water.....I think!
You get the idea.....I think!

All carts cleaned and reset, waste tank emptied/repacked/reset.
First stage done then.
Other things to do will come back to it later.

One of the things that I noticed before realising we had a problem was that the nozzle check was missing the bottom 1/4 of dashes. Unless I did a load of cleaning cycles, then it was full again, but slowly over a few prints would go back to having the bottom 1/4 missing. This made me think that it was a flow problem of not enough ink getting to the dampers/head, unless I did cleaning cycles to force it to refill. This led me to believe there was an air leak in the link somewhere, and when I moved the head into view, I could see cyan ink leaking onto the head assembly.

There's only one working 7600 on Ebay at the moment (in Bristol). Claims low usage. Has a PC with RIP which you wouldn't be able to use with Paul's (or my) ICCs. But I reckon you could flog with your broken printer and make a profit

Be careful washing through anything to do with your printer with just tap water, as it isn't pure, and can have loads of impurities in which won't play nice in your printer. Only use proper distilled water, or printer cleaning fluid/flush

There's a couple of 10600s on there (in/around London) but no 9600s.

As a final resort you could try ss cleaning the head
instructions here
Epson describe this as ultrasonic cleaning of the heads
worked for my 9800 a treat

SuperSonicClean will only work if the problem is actually a blockage though, if it's an air leak in the line, or a fault with the damper, then it's not going to do anything.
