Thanks SR. We have a new printer on the way. Hopefully it will ship with latest firmware. i installed the free 14 day demo of Parallels Desktop for Mac, and then installed an old copy I had of Windows XP within this. It wasn't ideal, but meant I could upgrade the Ricoh firmware with no hassle, and didn't have to start playing around with Bootcamp etc. I'd say within an hour of starting the process, I had my firmware updated to the latest one.
Not necessarily. You ought to update anyway as the firmware versions get updated from Ricoh and Ricoh printers are manufactured prior to updates.Postcard;69872 wrote:Thanks SR. I have been thinking for a while that I need to get an A3 printer anyway but at the moment my bank balance wont allow me!! looking about the internet, someone people get this problem a lot? If I follow the youtube video (which is going through the menus and tricking the printer into thinking you have done something when you haven't), and sacrifice some ink....Do you think this will happen again?
