Maybe not! Perhaps they could be renamed to Golden Jubilee mugs for the next few months...

There was a discussion over the confusion of the name in this thread - http://www.dyesubforum.co.uk/vbforum/sh ... #post34945 - in which it was determined that "European" doesn't mean that it's made in Europe. In this instance, "European" just means "not-made-in-china" (a bit like Baldrick's definition of a dog :wink:).

The design/style/size is essentially "Durham".

Whether or not the mug is made in China is a matter for the individually purchaser, but buying the "European mug" on the grounds that it's a European mug would be the wrong reason to buy. Buy it only because it's a good mug.
