One other issue is do you turn the printer off, as everytime it is turned back on it will do a head clean. Mine is left on 24/7.

I havent done ANY head cleans or flushes?

It does seem a bit excessive, the waste? Does it not?

Ahhh just read that from Mug man as it is on a seperate page.
I DO turn the printer off each use.
Do you think that perhaps I am doing a head clean 3 or 4 times a day then?

This would be very usefull information if proven true.

I've just bought this printer and the guide does state it's best to leave it on all the time, it goes into an energy saver" mode

If I need to use my printer it gets switched on and is left on all day, until I close up, then it gets switched it off. If you switch it off after every use your'll be wasting ink as it goes through a maintenance routine every time you switch it on.

I must admit there seems to be a fair bit of whirring and what not when I "crank it up" No wonder i have so much waste?
Well, one lives and learns. Just need to spens another couple of hundred quid on ink then.
