I assume travel mugs use exactly the same process for printing as ceramic mugs?

Yes but need less time as the metal absorbs heat much more quickly than ceramic.

Is there any reason why it seems to be the same style of travel mug offered by most suppliers? Does anyone supply, in small quantities, the straight edge mugs. Or are they not suitable for sublimation? Apologise for butting in :rolleyes:

There is a version called "bianco."

Looks like these are screen printed, so you could do this with colour laser hard surface paper (e.g TMT CPM6.2) and press in a mug press.
