Great news. Use J cloths or similar supermarket versions as these don't shed fibres. Strong IPA, you can get hammered on both types Ray!

Yeah I remembered about the fibres, all looking good today.
Haha, hammered on both! You have to keep a brown bag around as well when drinking in public

When I first bought IPA about 20 years ago from the chemist, I had to explain why I wanted it. A bunch of young, hungover lads wandering into a chemist at the weekend, I was obviously trying to fix a digital printer. He hadn't a clue what I was on about, but the medical advice was that I was not to drink it. lol.

If I was to 'accidentally' swallow sublimation ink, do you think the advice would be to take 1 cup of IPA twice a day??

I have a similar problem on a normal use printing Xp-605
I tried this yesterday and it does seem to have helped a lot but it’s not perfect, so I have soaked it overnight with ipa 99.9% and will keep my fingers crossed.
I seem to throw away printers like there’s no tomorrow but Epson printers are so cheap.

It's probably best to start a new thread so that people can identify your issue. But if using refill carts, make sure that your carts are primed first with no air bubbles.

IPA isn't recommended as can be too harsh on the print heads (or so I've heard) definitely best to use printer cleaning fluid.
I only use IPA to clean bits in the printer - capping station, head cleaner, feed path etc, but only printer cleaner on the actual head

The reason I recommend IPA is that it's the only solution I've come across which dissolves/ cleans up sublimation ink. Standard printer cleaning fluids only tend to work on normal ink. I formulated my own super secret cleaning fluid solution containing glycol but never got around to selling it!
You could give this a go:

Well the only one that is slightly blocked now is the yellow but as there was nothing before so I’m happy.
it can print a web page fine so rather than spending another £20/£30 on another printer this is going to do the job.

InkTec's cleaning fluid (SKU is PCS-01 I think) works well on their sublimation inks.
E2A although in saying that I've never really had a bad blockage with their inks ... most of the head cleaning I need to do is from the fibres of paper that accumulate on the head from the cutter cutting the roll after each print.
