Sometimes a good rest after head cleans is what the printer needs to allow the pressures to dissipate, and the inks to sit correctly on the print head.
In the Epson manual it recommends a 24 hour rest period after doing 3 head cleans.
Our recommended automated cleaning instructions are;
- Print a nozzle check pattern as reference to how your printer is currently printing.
- Select "head clean" from your printers maintenance menu.
- After the clean has completed allow for a 10 minute rest.
- Print your nozzle pattern again to compare the results.
- If patterns are still missing repeat these steps up to 3 times in a 24 hour period.
- After your 3rd head clean allow the printer to rest for 24 hours, and then try your nozzle pattern again.
Hope this might help a few people with the same sort of issue.
