Hi all,

Thank you for your comments. The ink transferring onto the wheels/rollers is certainly something that we haven't seen occur during testing and our own usage.
Our Technical Support team are always on-hand to resolve any product issues and can be contacted via our Technical website.

This has been raised internally and our Technical Support team will look into it.

Thank you for sharing.

So who else has noticed this?

Two issues then? I experienced the top coat residue today with the A3 paper. After pressing on three different presses with XP5013 mugs, the premium paper left a line of white powdered coating at each side of the handle...the very edge of the paper. The transfers had been left overnight before printing. Perhaps it was the humidity today?

Yes. We have noticed the white powder being left on substrates as well. I'm sure initially we presumed item had not sublimated correctly and threw away. After praising this paper we are going to make a decision in next couple of days as to whether we drop it due to the black ink smudging issue and white powder.

Decision made - we are ditching new Xpres paper and going back to Trupix. Just had another customer return where we hadn't noticed that even a small amount of black had transferred itself onto another area of the substrate prior to pressing. Sorry all for praising this paper initially but it seems that it hasn't been properly tested by Xpres prior to selling.

I haven't noticed this transfer of ink. Are you all using Ricoh printers?

Have any of these concerns been raised with Xpres? I'm aware they tested this paper for over 6 months so I'm very surprised by some of these comments.

Yes, about three or four times to Xpres. "We shall let support know and get back to you". Ricoh printers with Sawgrass ink. ICC profile.

None of my three Epsons have this issue. Are you able to change the paper type or photo quality in the driver?

We have certainly played around a little. Interestingly the paper is meant for Sawgrass inks in a Ricoh so odd they are ok in Epson. No huge issue going back to Trupix as the paper is much faster drying as well saving us a little extra time.

But has anyone actually submitted a ticket?
