How do I purge it? Do you mean do a head flush?

Sadly this didn't resolve the issue. Nor cleaning the plastic at the bottom (I watched a video how to do it, followed instructions, but the problem remains).

I'll give it a try, I've got nothing to lose at this point. Thanks

If it works, check again to see if the bubbles have disappeared.

I will, it's flushing now. Will let you know how it goes!

Well this is strange; I've flushed it, and then printed a tester (CMYK). The banding seems only to be happening worse in the blue colour (It's still happening). I have noticed that the banding has looked more noticeable on colours with blue in. What could this mean?

Having said this though, there is still some slight banding in the other colours.

I've now ran a headclean and nozzle check, to no avail. Could the cartridges need cleaning, or print heads need cleaning manually? Or could they have dried out or something?

Is the banding in-line with the movement of the print head or at 90 degrees to it?

I'm not really sure if there's a way to manually clean Ricoh print head. I've tried to clean a Canon inkjet before but it didn't work and my options were to replace the head or buy a new printer for little more. I went for a new printer.

The banding is horizontal across the A4 sheet, portrait side up. I've just printed a larger piece of paper, and can see the banding is still alll through the colours. The worste, being blue and magenta, but even the black is banding.

It looks like I'm going to have to buy a new printer :frown:.
