+1 Also resist the temptation to pre heat for too long as the pressing time will be way off and it will overcook. There is a lot of variation with this material so I don't expect every one to print properly. I also had a couple that cracked as soon as the press was lowered, without pressure, for pre heating. These were stored in a 20c room so not exactly cold shock.

Ok. I will do this one again tomorrow and try the plain paper trick. Do you let it cool down again so the 45 seconds dont effect the pressing time or fetbin with it as soon as you can handle it?

Yep, will be to hot to use so the norm is I pre press one, leave it 5-10 minute, pre press another, put that to one side and use the first one once that's done the second will be cool enough to use :)

I tape and press straight away, can just stand the heat for long enough to position on the print. I use the same settings as you. Interesting that scotty44 allows it to cool, what settings do you use ?.

190 @ 7 minutes mate using a Artech press, 3110 sawgrass inks, works spot on for me

Edit to add, that's the small slate, the 20x20 ones I up the time to 8 minutes

195c for 500 secs here. I always press using the thin white foam type pads and pre-heat both the pad and slate first. I use a fairly heavy pressure.

Tried that and it cracked. Pressed it anyway and the marks are still there?
