So AfrerMo, - you mention sunangle, WOW & forever papers, I have only used TMT one, but just wondering if you experience much difference, and which you prefere? are you using the 2 printer method or the 711W ?
Is there much difference in cost, difficulty, and wash?
Thanks

Two printer method here no noticeable alignment issues.

Not used WoW 7.8 or the latest Sunangel papers yet as I have lots of their older papers. I am lead to believe that the newer papers are both easier to separate the A & B papers but I don't have an issue with the older ones. I also believe that the newer papers don't crack so much if washed above 40C but not tried them.

My issue is cracking with both I have customers who wash them 2x per week and they are over 12 months old (work wear) and colours look like done yesterday (ignoring the cracks), in fact the black polos and hoodies look more faded than the print.

When I finish what papers I have I will probably go with forever on cost grounds and wash at 60C.

Hi Aftermo, do you think the Forever papers will work OK with our SunAngel Printers? I have read good reports on a Facebook group, seems a lot of people like the Forever over the other brands.

Thanks Aftermo, I've been playing with mine today, trying out the new paper. I don't know if it was just me but nothing wanted to work today.
When you print just white would you mind telling me what settings you use on your printer. I'm selecting the highest quality and Heavyweight2 , but the white toner seems a little thin. Spoiled a kiddies sweatshirt because one letter of a word did not stick properly. I really thought I was being very careful. Not sure how much more time and money I can waste.

When using the white only I use the front manual feed and rear straight through exit path with the paper type set to medium.

To get a good strong white which on these is two layers that's why it's MUCH brighter white than the Magic touch machines as they only have one white cart I set up like this:-

In order to create the best results, the SunAngel 31WB uses two toner stations. In order to producethe whitest prints, the user will need to create images using one the following colours:
Hexidecimal: #CC0000
RGB: R: 204 G: 0 B: 0
CMYK: C: 0% M: 100% Y: 100% K: 0%
Pantone: 186C
This is a ‘brick-red’ type colour. Text and graphics created in this colour will give the best white results when printed.

SunAngel transfer media is used as a set, comprising ‘Transfer Sheet’ and an ‘Adhesive Sheet’. Please follow the steps below for best results:

1. Place transfer sheet into the manual sheet feed of the SunAngel printer, smoothest side up (please note this is the coated side of the sheet).
2. Set the printer to print from the ‘Multipurpose Tray’ and set paper type to Medium Light. Remember to create the image in reverse to ensure it looks correct when transferred to the garment.
3. Print the image, opening the rear printer output to make use of the straight-through paper path.
4. Once image is printed, place the adhesive sheet on top of the print, white (adhesive coated) side down – the image and the adhesive should be face-to-face.
5. Fold a small corner of the adhesive sheet over, prior to pressing – this will make it easier to peel apart after pressing.
• If you wish, you can run the two sheets together through a laminator on a medium heat setting prior to pressing - this will ensure all air bubbles are removed.
6. Press the two sheets together using a heat press at 120°C for 30 seconds with a medium-high pressure.
7. Immediately after pressing, peel the adhesive sheet away from the transfer sheet quickly and evenly, peeling in a smooth, continuous motion.
8. Discard the used adhesive sheet.
9. Trim the edges away from the transfer sheet – this will ensure no excess adhesive sticks to the garment.
10. Position the transfer sheet (print side down) onto the garment and press using a heat press at 120°C for 30 seconds with a medium-high pressure.
11. Remove the garment from the heat press and allow to cool.
12. Once the garment is cooled, carefully peel away the transfer sheet and the image will remain on the garment.

A final optional step is to apply a finishing paper to the printed area of the garment and press again for 15 seconds to provide a smooth finish.

Thanks once again. Yes I am doing all this except I had the paper set to Heavy 2. I will try your setting next time and see how I get along.
