I use one, I modified the lid to the cartridge chamber, so that I could still have it on, and then fitted a CISS which I bought from Coralgraph. I also fitted an external waste tank, bought via ebay, so that the pads do not get clogged and leak every where. So far, three years down the line, it is still working wonderfully well.

James. You're a star fella.
I can't really afford mistakes so this is a big help. Do you have a different printer for transfers and normal printing stuff?

I use the 1500w for the sub work, and a epson R220 for normal printing, so to speak. The R220 also has a CISS fitted and an external waste tank.

I also have a R220 in the house again with CISS and external waste tank. All the computers are in the same workgroup, so speak to each other and the printers. I only have the other R220 in the house because I am too lazy to go down to the workshop to collect any printing!

I buy all my ink in bulk, so that I can just fill up as and when I need to.

Don't get me wrong, it did cost a bit to get started, but I am glad a did buy what I bought.

You should not need one with a new printer. But I would buy one anyway and have it handy. I bought one a while back and it is still valid, and it is there when I need it.

NO, that has bog standard ink in it, if you read further down it says - 'Note : this inks are not suitable for printing on mugs and tshirt'. You need one either with sub ink in it or empty and you put your own in. Suggest you send a message to Henry at Coralgraph - sales@coralgraph.com
