Re: Fabric scorching & Yolo laser Dark

Post by Gygafo »

Hi,
Recommended settings for pressing an image onto a garment for yolo laser dark are 190 deg c for 25 seconds using a heavy pressure. However, I'm finding this is discolouring or scorching garments. I mainly use Gildan premium cotton and I even get the same result on sweat shirts and hoodies... Bloomin big glossy, faded mark where the press has been in contact with the garment. Took the temp down to 175 deg c but the mark still noticeable. Tried it with teflon sheet and without, no difference. Different pressure etc, etc. Adkins Maxi press which works perfect for anything else I do. Is it me or is the heat and time a little on the high side with yolo? Help please.

Thanks
Nigel.
