Re: best sub paper
Trupix and texprint are great papers especially on t shirts, I have heard that some people print transfers with dye ink but the washability and fade resistance isn't good so you might lose colour after a few washes so I would recommend using a printer with pigment inks. Sublimation on tshirts is only suitable for white and lighter garments and only on garments that are high percentage polyester which not all people are a fan of. There are a few options for darker garments such as dark transfer paper for laser printers or inkjet printers, vinyl, screenprint, screenprinted transfers etc it really depends what you're wanting to sell And the quality you're after or if you want photographic prints or doing small or large runs. In terms of telling the difference all i can say is that the garment vinyl I have doesn't have a sticky backing other than on the clear backing sheet but the sign vinyl I have does but this might not be the same for all vinyl. Take a look around the forum there's a section for transfers that might be a good place to start.
