Ricoh error codes

Hi all,

I have a new SG3110 printer which is giving me grief. It is only a few weeks old and has worked absolutley fine up until last week.

I am getting error codes 20224 and 20200. I have tried google to find an answer but cant find anything.

I did have a Ricoh engineer out looking at it on Thursday and he said there was nothing wrong with it and to try new ink. The new ink arrived this morning and I am getting the same issues.

Obviously I can contact Ricoh again but that will take another week and wondered if anyone had encountered these problems before and had managed to recitfy them.

Any help would be appreciated.

What ink are you using? Is it sublimation ink?

yes. its compatible sublimation ink we use. we have been using it in these printers fro a while now with no problems

Is it Sawgrass ink?

No, its not

If it was Sawgrass ink then they would have taken over the warranty. I am not sure that Rioch will honour any warranty if you have not used their ink.

I guess its not a simple problem then ? Ricoh were quite happy to send out an engineer to look at it but the word sublimation was never used loll. Since my OP we put new ink into it and the Magenta and Yellow empried into the waste tank straight away and the wast tank is full now !!!

The company we bought the printer from sent us an email saying the printer could be used with ANY sublimation ink so I quess if Ricoh say we have invalidated the warranty, then we have some comeback against the store that sold us the printer.

Pretty annoying though as the printer has only done 96 prints and gone through 2 sets of ink and a waste tank. Would have been better off just buying the real thing, but as said before, we have used the same ink in the same Ricoh printers for a few years now and never had an issue.

Put Ricoh carts in before the engineer shows up

He has been ( there were Ricoh cartridges in it ) but just said to get new ink as he couldnt see a problem with the printer . Im going to push them for a replacement given an engineer has already been and couldnt find a fault with the printer - and new inks of course to replace the ones that just drained straight into the waste unit.

Probably a long shot but if you dont ask...... Although I do think there is something wrong with the printer as it doesnt print properly with Ricoh inks either.
