Oh Bugger!
Re: Oh Bugger!
Hmmmm
Let's take a bit of a step back here...Mrs Maggot has made a statement about copyright which if you were not aware of it being a copyright item could save you a lot of hassle. So that was a fair comment.
The image does look as though it is a low resolution thumbnail. So again a fair comment.
So Petedale I presume you would not want people copying your art work and making money out of it without your permission, after all it would be your art work, so why use somebody elses?
Mugbox....Mrs Maggots comments were correct. You can post with troubles and ask, that is what the forum does.
Now to you both - Mrs Maggot has a wealth of knowledge which is useful to both newbies and experienced members. Having a "pop" for a factual statement appears a little short sighted.
So that addresses those issues.
Now I wonder why an artist would not use their own work? This isn't a dig it is a question. You would know what colours you want to achieve, you are better placed as an artist to understand and interpret colour profiles (both screen and printer) and limitations of gamut.
In short no need to get all hot under the collar.
I shall now climb out of my ivory tower which sits nicely on my soapbox, and have a glass of vino.

Re: Oh Bugger!
Yes i was only posting that incase you were not aware, and also that you would never be getting a great result using a poor start off image - whether your own or someone elses. It's great news that there is another artist to add to the forums long list of artists.
Peterdale, i am not sure where your comment about the "ceaseless witterings of the unemployed" comes from - as i for one like many others on here, are self employed, and working dammed hard, competing with the "hobby" printers and the "just for pin money" printers, yet we try wherever possible to help people offering the knowledge we have built up over time, i shall make sure in future i make no further comments on any posts you make, that way i will not need to suffer your wrath.
Janners, thank you for your post, it means a lot to me.

Should be ashamed of yourselves, your not helping anyone with your Thinly veiled sarcasm and to be honest I am not the only one pissed by this, I was enjoying a nice chat and the 'Regs' Get up on their high horse cracking the whip of knowledge at the dumb ignorant newbies

Petedale.....not sure where or what your agenda is.
But as you feel you were being poked, and being handed sarcasm, and you feel we should be ashamed of ourselves, as we were "Not helping anyone", best I keep quiet as you would not have any need for my poorly informed adhoc reckons.

Re: Oh Bugger!
My apologies for not being able to deal with this situation earlier and many thanks to Paul for stepping in here
The downside to living in the middle of nowhere is it's hard to get even a phone signal at the best of time so logging on is darn near impossible.
