Their real strengths are in the titles....but for most of either will do. I have to use both as clients send me both....bless them!

I have sourced the ST 3042 machine and the Richoh 3110N printer and will use CorelDraw for editing (as I already have this). How's that for a set up?.

For the record, The Corel Draw Suite does come with, and integrastes closely with PhotoPaint. PhotoPaint is one of Corel's bitmap imaging applications which is the closest to Photoshop in terms of features and professional use. You can argue all day about Photshop being better or not but I've never needed any of the Adobe offerings to run my sign business. I've seen stunning work done in both programmes though and you always prefer the one you're used to.
Draw works better with vector stuff like logos and text but still has some very good bitmap editing tools, relying on PP for more advanced stuff.
