That's not really good is it? I had similar problems with emails to them in the past...getting them on the phone always seemed to be easier, but there is no excuse for ignoring emails for a week in my opinion. They don't really do themselves any favours do they?!Justin;97417 wrote:A week and still no response from Sawgrass, very disappointing. I emailed them prior to purchasing the printer asking about warranties, preferred ink sets etc. and that email also went ignored. It was only due to some excellent advice from iSub that I knew exactly which way to go.

They certainly don't. So much for standing by them and continuing to support eh? I'm finding more and more that companies don't respond to emails and prefer phone calls, seems like a big leap back in technology to me! I don't have free time until after 5pm so it's nigh on impossible calling companies during their 'office hours'.

Re: Epson 7890 Profile
I'd agree 100%. I can write 3 or 4 emails to different companies, in the space of time it might take me to phone just one. I will tend to pick up the phone if it's an urgent query, but emails for everything else. I can live with waiting a day or two, but a week is a bit much from a big company. Especially considering you've obviously invested quite a large sum of money in the Epson. I wonder if Sawgrass are still lurking on here, and might see this?!Justin;97429 wrote:They certainly don't. Tell them if they aren't going to support you that you're taking your ink purchasing to a company that will.

Justin.....any news?
I had to do a clean today. On my test print first thing I had 3 individual small bars missing on 3 colours. I'll post when I need to do it again. I don't normally check everyday but have done since you popped this thread up.

Re: Epson 7890 Profile
I've just managed to get hold of SG tech Support on the phone. We're starting the usual procedure, check all settings, send nozzle checks and so on. Hopefully on the road to getting this sorted. SG have confirmed that they take over the warranty on these printers when their ink is installed which is a relief as I'd not received confirmation of that.
Re: Epson 7890 Profile
Justin are you sorted?
I didn't use mine at all over the weekend due to family fun. The not being used for 2 days is unusual. Just done a check and all is clear and good.

Re: Epson 7890 Profile
Justin you are going to hate what i have to say but here goes . I have the big brother to your printer an epson 9890 . ive had a little over 15 months use out of it and the heads have blown . a new set of heads cost £1200 every engineer ive spoke to has said something along the lines of "you had over 12 months use out of it ?? youve done well" apparantly that range of printers are god awful heads bloody expensive and you are lucky to get much more than a years use , ive just had an engineer here sorting my other printer and he said i wouldnt even touch it if you asked me too it aint worth it ! i spoke to sawgrass who said is it in warrenty ? my answer obviously was no as it was 15 months old at that point they dropped me like a hot brick even when i asked if they could suggest where i could get an engineer to look at it i got a dunno guv answer it seems sawgrass customer service starts and ends with their supposed 12 month warranty i wonder if idve had much more help had it been within the 12months . Im certain half the problems people have with printers is with sawgrass cyan inks (i wonder how many reading this will say hmm yes its always my cyan that goes) i now use inktec inks with little issue but im afraid the 9890 and probably the 7890 are awful machinesJustin;98202 wrote:Thought the power clean had done the trick but nozzles still blocking.
